 | Peter V. Hansen
Peter V. Hansen is a second generation funeral director from the Hansen
family and
serves as President of the Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home.
He attended New Britain Schools, graduating from New Britain High School.
He attended the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service, in New York, graduated first in his class in 1973, receiving many awards, including
the Dr. John McAllister Award and the NY State Funeral Directors Association Award. He is a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, Connecticut Funeral Directors Association, and currently serves as President of New Britain Funeral Directors Association.
Peter is an active member of the Bethany Covenant Church, where he has
served in various capacities, including Trustee Board Chairman, Property Committee Chairman, Christian Education Board Chairman, and the Building Committee Chairman. He is a member of the Berlin Lions Club, where he serves as the Chaplain, the Boys and Girls committee Chairman and the Chairman of the Berlin Fair Entertainment Committee. Other community involvement includes past president and board member of the New Britain-Berlin YMCA, member and chairman of the Berlin Children's Fund,
member of Centennial Lodge #118, and member of Martha Chapter #21, O.E.S. Peter and his wife Nancy, reside in Berlin with their children, Eric, a student at Berlin High School, Craig, and Sarah, students at McGee Middle School. |

 | Robert W. Hansen Robert W. Hansen III is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. As a third generation family member, he has been involved with the workings of the funeral home since 1986 and licensed since 1991.
Although born in New Britain, Rob was raised in Southington where he played soccer most of his life and still enjoys participating in annual alumni games.Rob graduated from Southington high school in 1988. Upon High School graduation, he attended New England Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences at Mount Ida College, in Newton, Massachusetts. While attending Mount Ida Rob was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with an Associates Degree in
Mortuary Science in 1991 and began working full time for the funeral home.
Rob is an active member of Bethany Covenant Church of Berlin and has served as a member of the Human Resources Committee, an usher, and spends much of his free time in a voluntary capacity. In addition, he has
served as an assistant coach for the Bethany Youth Basketball Team and enjoys participating in weekly recreational activities sponsored by the church.
Rob and his wife Kate reside in Berlin with their three sons, Evan, Ethan, and Nathaniel. Kate is a music teacher at New Britain High School and serves on the Board of the Kensington Nursery School. Their sons attend Berlin schools.
|  | Nancy Hansen
Nancy (Thomson) Hansen serves as the Office Manager at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home. She was born in Springfield, Massachusetts and spent her childhood in Hampden, graduating from Minnechaug Regional High School. Nancy graduated from Colby College in Waterville, Maine in 1978 with a BA Degree in Administrative Science. She
worked in marketing for New England Telephone Company in the Boston area, transferring to Southern New England Telephone Company in Connecticut when she married Peter Hansen in 1979.
Nancy is involved with their three children's many sports and after school activities. She is a Sunday School teacher at Bethany Covenant Church and is active in the Covenant
Women's group at church. She also works as a substitute Health Room Aid in the Berlin Public School System. |
